Exciting Times

I got my Gwyddon altar set up last weekend, in time for Monday’s Beltaine ritual. I had a great time!!! Things didn’t go quite as smoothly as I would have liked (I tore my robe before the ritual even started. I really wish I hadn’t cut the fabric straight. ) and there were some issues, like the ritual leader losing her internet connection after the preliminaries (the wonders of online rituals) but all in all, it went great. There actually WAS a great amount of energy transfer/movement, despite it being an online ritual.

Monday  night I had a long talk with someone very close to me…and it truly was beautiful and amazing and all of that. Actually, hes’ been chatty all week and I am just thrilled about that. It’s a rare thing.

This week has been interesting…after Beltaine (I guess I got that ‘beginning of summer’ energy and all that) and due to less sleep than I normally get, and probably some dehydration as well, I have wanted even more to get OUT of here. I’ve been feeling trapped in this house for a while, but I really, really, need to get a place of my own.

Of course there are a lot of concerns, financial concerns being a huge one, and some smaller stuff, like what is going to happen to my pet chickens? But I talked to my mom about it and I feel a lot better about moving out…I am hoping for sometime this summer/fall. Even just looking for a place is a bit of a relief, as I know I’m not really stuck here.

I was offered (and gratefully accepted!) full time at work. When the benefits kick in (which is around September I think) they truly rock, and I’m excited about that. And of course it’s more hours.

This weekend I’m going to visit my dad and his half of the family. It will truly be a ‘fly by night’ trip, as I am leaving Friday after work (won’t get there till probably 9 PM) and coming home Sunday. After my first week of full time, this is going to be a strain on me, but it’ll be worth it.
